Guided tour of the Serenissima
With over 10 million visitors a year, Venice is a leading destination on the scene of art and architecture, and for its breathtaking views. We have chosen an unforgettable programme for you. You will be charmed by the beauty, vitality and multitude of monuments and works of art that surround you.
9.30 am Transfer by boat from Molino Stucky Hotel Hilton to San Marco Square
10.00 am Meeting with the tour guides and start of the tour that will take you up to Rialto
Meeting with the guide who will accompany us on a walking tour along an interesting itinerary that winds its way along canals, across bridges and down narrow alleys to see palaces and churches. There will also be a break to savour the specialities Venetians love most in a much renowned pastry shop of the Serenissima.
Then we shall head for Rialto, once a strategic point for both Venetian and international trade. The Bridge comprises a single arch supported by 12,000 elm wood poles. Merchants met here to purchase and sell their merchandise. Moreover, to experience the most typical Venetian atmosphere, you cannot fail to visit the Rialto Market, one of the most ancient in Venice, situated in the heart of the historical city centre.
And beside the “old” market you will also see the “new market”, which is the luxury store Fondaco dei Tedeschi where you will be stunned by the windows of 65 designer label boutiques located on the three flours of a building that has maintained its 16th century structure. Designed with bright red escalators that take you to floors above ground level, you can make your way down along stairs that sparkle with gold. The building features a brand new terrace with a breathtaking view from the tallest roof of the city.
12.30 pm Free time for lunch
2.15 pm Meeting with tour guides in San Marco Square to continue the tour

You will then visit San Marco’s Basilica, which is today the cathedral of the city and mirror of the magnificent past, where golden mosaics and precious marbles make the church one of the most beautiful monuments in the world.
The tour will draw to a close with a stroll in San Marco Square, the pulsating heart of the city, an important urban and architectural complex, admiring other jewels, such as the tall bell tower and the prestigious historical buildings of the Procuratie Vecchie e Nuove.
